The history of our service

About Us

The history of the CopyrightDepot.com, of copyright registration and of copyright publication on the web.

Our History

It was in March 2000 that CopyrightDepot.com appeared on the Web. It was the first service of its kind in the world, an idea launched by a handful of authors who wanted to find a quick and effective way to protect their creations' rights. As a lot of authors (worldwide) became interested by that kind of service, CopyrightDepot.com website quickly became popular. After a few years, thousands and thousands of copyright statements were consulted in the public section of CopyrightDepot.com.

This new service arrived just at the right time, when people were reluctant to publish their creations on the Internet afraid of being copied or of having their ideas stolen. With a copyright clearly visible within each creation, potential copiers were notified of what to expect and plagiarism became increasingly scarce.

Over the years, dozens of thousands of people, working in many different fields of expertise, have chosen CopyrightDepot.com as their first-line service to register and publish their copyrights.

In 2014, with the vast presence of mobile phones and their ever more popular applications, two analysts-programmers passionate by everything related to copyrights, Nancy Dubé and Tanya Damien, acquired CopyrightDepot.com in order to work towards new technologies. This made the service even more effective for users on every platform available.
